Well, it has been a while since my last blog entry but things have been hectic. Since I need to move away from my daughter, a lot of time has been spent looking for a place - and I found exactly what I needed. Yeah!

But even with all the busy things, I managed to talk to my five per day. I have had to reprint my Boot Camp invites even! I just didn't have anyone sign up yet. Still, I know it will happen as surely as I know the economy is going to get worse before it gets better. People will realize what a boon My Power Mall is to everyone.

Yesterday, a young woman who had advertised a free Nativity Set on our local Freecycle group was all fired up about the Power Mall when I told her about it while picking up the set. I am to call her back this evening!. And today, the customer service lady got all excited about the Power Mall when I told her about it when I brought my car for service.

It is easy for me to talk with people since I myself am so convinced of My Power Mall. Listening in on tonight's Boot Camp call, I just heard that AMEX is back, and I will be ordering more gift cards. I spent most of my last $500 paying for a storage area (of course I left my invite). It seems wherever I go there are people I end up talking with and telling them about the Power Mall.

Although we will be officially pausing for the Christmas Holidays, I will continue to talk to at least my five per day. I just cannot stop when I am so convinced.

Ok, then - time for some call backs, and then hit the Yellow Pages for local businesses to approach. One is in the forefront - the place I got my orthitics and shoes from - as local as you can get. They have been in Jackson, MI for over 80 years. Good luck to all of us! And good night!

Day 3 - A let-down for me

Hi, I listened to Ginny's call, did my newspapers, and actually got two "bean" people. Everyone was so hurried today. Standing in line at the gas station, I asked the lady in front of me if she would do me a favor and I told her about the Boot Camp and the requirement of talking with five people, but even as I started to talk with her, she pulled away - her body language said everything! And her answer was predictably: "No" This was my first person whom I did not know. What a letdown!!
I went to my first newspaper route, and saw that Grace C. was getting out of her car after she had been shopping. Since I was going into her building to deliver papers there, I offered to carry some of her bags for her. She used to be a customer of mine (couldn't afford the paper anymore) and she is also handicapped. I started telling her about the Boot Camp and how I had committed to lead 10 people to an income of $2000 per month after 60 days, and she was real interested. I got her "vitals" and I am calling her back tomorrow, something which I have scheduled to do with the next person at my third newspaper route:

Next, was Tim B. while I was delivering papers. He and his wife were getting ready to leave and saw me coming, so Tim walked up to get his paper. Except, his paper had been stopped for non-payment today....
He said: "It's just as well, I was just laid off." So I told him I had a thing for him that was better than sliced bread, explained the Boot Camp goal and the Power Mall basics to him while his wife came over (she was kind of skeptical) and when I was done and got his name and the rest of the info, he actually shook my hand and thanked me!! Now that was a great build-up!!
After that, I went toWalMart to finally get the WebCam and more printer ink (I need those items now, and although I ordered the ink last night, I ran out this morning. Talked to a young mother with two children who did not want to give me her information, stating since everything was on the invitation, she would call me when she had checked it out. Oh, well....
The cashier at WalMart was more receptive but with a line waiting to be serviced, did not have much time. But she thanked me for the invitation, and promised she would look at it. And I gave another invitation to the lady behind me in line....
So ---- only two "bean" people today. I did send out some emails to people who I had talked with before, and who had never gotten back to me. No response from those so far, so I guess I will let them find out later what they are missing.
Great-Grandma Baker (in yesterday's report) is almost ready to sign up - she is 88 but has her computer and emails all over the world.... and since she can barely walk anymore, she is ordering more and more from catalogues. Told her it would benefit her to have a mall of her own so she could live better on her narrow income.
Well, that's about it for today - and tomorrow is another one. Good night All!!

1st Day - What a Charge

First, I have to say how powerfully Ginny spoke this morning. Absolutely awesome!! I really got motivated. I know that I will excell with this leadership.
After the call, I went to my backoffice to retrieve the invitation - including the back side - and downloaded it. Found out that in order to use the typewriter feature, I had to rotate the page. Well, that took a while. I finally got it done right, and started printing them. Matter of fact, I left them printing and it was time to deliver the newspaper!. In spite of the nasty weather (about 2 inches of snow), I met a number of people and started talking to them about My Power Mall. Unfortunately, I did not have any invitations, nor business cards, with me - I could have kicked myself. Well, I know that tomorrow I will make up for it. THIS IS NOT A PROCRASTINATION! I did not meet anyone since after delivering the papers, I went nowhere. Stayed home and got my so-called home office set up a little better. It is my bedroom which I share with about 35 birds (I raise parakeets, cockatiels, and lovebirds as a sideline). Good thing my cell phone has a mute button!
As I am typing this, I am listening to Ginny's evening call. Reenforcement!! But the numbers in the Power of Five still scare me....
I did make some phone calls to leads I got from my upline. Scheduled four callbacks, so I am keeping busy.
I am all fired up, I smelled blood (people I can help change their lives!) Need to order some things from my mall! I will listen in again tomorrow morning.

Preface: Sunday, 23 Nov 08

Well, I did it: I just sent off the acceptance for the World Changer Boot Camp, as an alternate. I hope I have sent off all required info correctly. I sort of have butterflies in my stomach - I don't really know what to expect. Put the number for the conference call with the PIN on a post-it on the wall, along with the times..... Well, that's it for now, except for the waiting. Still have to have Sarah, my granddaughter, take a decent pic of me... And also ask around in our church for someone with a digicam, or buy one...
